Pumpkin “Bravas” with Spicy Brava Sauce

One of the most iconic ingredients of autumn is, without a doubt, pumpkin. You can use it to prepare countless recipes—soups, roasted dishes, croquettes, and more—but since it’s nearly time for an appetizer, we’ve whipped up these “bravas.” And what better sauce to serve with them than our own Brava Sauce?

Ingredients

  • 1 medium-sized pumpkin
  • salt and olive oil
  • black pepper

Instructions

  • Peel the pumpkin, remove the seeds, and cut it into bite-sized pieces. Try to make them all the same size so that they cook evenly.
  • We can fry the pieces of pumpkin in plenty of oil until they are nice and crispy, or we can roast them in the oven. We have chosen to roast them in the oven at 180°C, with a drizzle of oil, salt, and pepper.
  • TIP! Roast in the oven for 20 minutes at 180°C. Then, increase the temperature to 200°C for another 10 minutes. This will make them crispier.
  • Once the pumpkin is nicely golden brown, remove it from the oven and serve with the Salsa Brava.
